Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior FP&A Analyst to support a growing, operations-driven manufacturing business. This role exists to strengthen financial visibility across plant and corporate functions, enabling better decision-making around production, pricing, and capital investments. The successful candidate will play a key role in linking operational performance to financial outcomes, helping leadership improve margins, optimize costs, and plan for future growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process across plant and corporate operations
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts tied to production, labor, and material inputs
  • Develop financial models to support capital investments, automation, and expansion decisions
  • Analyze manufacturing costs including material, labor, and overhead variances
  • Partner with operations teams to identify cost drivers and efficiency improvements
  • Evaluate inventory performance including slow-moving and obsolete stock
  • Assess profitability by product, customer, and channel
  • Deliver insights to improve margins, reduce waste, and optimize working capital
  • Support pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to make vs buy decisions and supplier cost analysis
  • Develop SKU-level sales forecasts in partnership with sales and supply chain teams
  • Translate demand forecasts into revenue projections and production plans
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages with clear variance analysis and commentary
  • Build dashboards and KPIs to track operational and financial performance
  • Support ERP enhancements and reporting automation initiatives

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive FP&A experience
  • 3-5+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred
  • Ability to interpret operational data and translate into financial insights
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and production workflows
  • Effective communicator with non-financial stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset with strong business partnering skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, production-focused environment
  • Ability to work onsite five days per week

Remuneration

$120,000 - $140,000 base salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
