Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior FP&A Analyst to support a growing, operations-driven manufacturing business. This role exists to strengthen financial visibility across plant and corporate functions, enabling better decision-making around production, pricing, and capital investments. The successful candidate will play a key role in linking operational performance to financial outcomes, helping leadership improve margins, optimize costs, and plan for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process across plant and corporate operations
- Build and maintain rolling forecasts tied to production, labor, and material inputs
- Develop financial models to support capital investments, automation, and expansion decisions
- Analyze manufacturing costs including material, labor, and overhead variances
- Partner with operations teams to identify cost drivers and efficiency improvements
- Evaluate inventory performance including slow-moving and obsolete stock
- Assess profitability by product, customer, and channel
- Deliver insights to improve margins, reduce waste, and optimize working capital
- Support pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives
- Contribute to make vs buy decisions and supplier cost analysis
- Develop SKU-level sales forecasts in partnership with sales and supply chain teams
- Translate demand forecasts into revenue projections and production plans
- Prepare monthly reporting packages with clear variance analysis and commentary
- Build dashboards and KPIs to track operational and financial performance
- Support ERP enhancements and reporting automation initiatives
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of progressive FP&A experience
- 3-5+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
- CPA designation is an asset
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred
- Ability to interpret operational data and translate into financial insights
- Strong understanding of supply chain and production workflows
- Effective communicator with non-financial stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with strong business partnering skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, production-focused environment
- Ability to work onsite five days per week
Remuneration
$120,000 - $140,000 base salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
