Horizon Recruitment  is recruiting for a  Procurement Specialist  to support strategic sourcing and supplier management across multiple sites. This role exists to drive cost savings, improve procurement processes, and strengthen supplier performance in a service-driven environment. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and operational leaders, you will help identify opportunities, lead sourcing initiatives, and deliver measurable value to the business.


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day procurement activities across assigned spend areas
  • Partner with operations teams to understand needs and deliver effective sourcing solutions
  • Lead RFx processes and support contract development for operational and capital purchases
  • Analyze data using Excel and BI tools to identify cost savings and performance trends
  • Develop clear reports and insights to support procurement and operational decisions
  • Support negotiations with suppliers, focusing on service-based agreements
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, especially in maintenance and technical services
  • Monitor supplier performance and address gaps or risks proactively
  • Track and report cost savings in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure procurement activities follow internal controls and company policies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental standards in all sourcing activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of procurement or sourcing experience
  • Experience working with service-based procurement such as maintenance or technical services
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in an environment with evolving priorities and goals
  • Proven ability to identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives
  • SAP experience is an asset

Remuneration

  • $80,000 - $90,000 plus bonus eligibility.
