JUST HR is recruiting for a Manager, Human Resources to join a well-established, privately held organization with a strong people-first culture and long-term employee base. This role is designed for someone who can build trust across the business while confidently leading employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and workplace operations. Reporting directly to the President, the HR Manager will help shape a positive and accountable work environment while ensuring the office operates smoothly day to day.


Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple departments, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Develop and deliver onboarding and employee training programs to support team growth and consistency
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace matters, employee relations, and conflict resolution
  • Manage HR compliance related to BC Employment Standards, WorkSafeBC, company policies, and workplace procedures
  • Handle performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee documentation with professionalism and discretion
  • Maintain accurate HR records, files, and employee information
  • Support compensation review processes and market benchmarking activities
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, workplace concerns, and employment matters
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to maintain a professional and welcoming workplace
  • Coordinate office vendors, supplies, and facilities-related needs
  • Reinforce workplace standards and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Provide administrative support and coordination for senior leadership as needed

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, and HR compliance
  • Strong understanding of BC Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, and WorkSafeBC requirements
  • Experience handling sensitive employee matters with sound judgment and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of an organization
  • Comfortable balancing empathy with accountability in workplace situations
  • Experience working within entrepreneurial, privately held, or owner-managed businesses is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in diverse and multicultural workplace environments
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an on-site role
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset

Remuneration

  • Base salary: $90,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
  • Discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance
  • Extended health benefits

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday on-site schedule in Vancouver, BC
