Just HR is recruiting for an HR Business Partner to join a fast-growing Canadian construction and logistics company known for its entrepreneurial culture and practical, people-first approach. This role supports operations across Alberta North, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, spanning six branches and roughly 200 employees. With rapid growth and evolving business needs, this position is critical in ensuring local leaders receive consistent, high-impact HR support. It’s a strong fit for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to be part of a close-knit, fast-moving HR team.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Edmonton, Grand Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon, Brandon, and Winnipeg
  • Deliver practical HR support in areas like coaching, discipline, onboarding, and performance conversations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and teams at each branch
  • Participate in planning and executing HR travel schedules (approx. once every 6–8 weeks per site)
  • Support internal communications, alignment meetings, and team check-ins
  • Collaborate on HR project work, including mentorship programming and leadership development
  • Prioritize workload effectively in a high-volume, fast-moving business environment
  • Identify and recommend improvements to HR processes and branch support strategies
  • Coordinate with other HRBPs to ensure consistent practices across Canada
  • Promote a culture of openness, learning, and accountability

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist or business partner experience
  • Strong relationship-building and organizational skills
  • Experience working across multiple locations and stakeholders
  • Independent, self-directed approach to managing workload
  • Able to travel periodically within assigned region
  • Based in Edmonton or nearby (on-site presence required)
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial mid-sized company
  • Exposure to labour relations is an asset but not required
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to site locations.

Remuneration

  • Salary range: $90,000–$100,000 depending on experience, with benefits.
