Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Director of Supply Chain on behalf of a growing Canadian organization. As the business continues to expand they require an experienced supply chain director to strengthen collaboration across departments, multiple locations and to create scalable processes that support future growth. This is an opportunity for an experienced supply chain leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving operations, and partnering with senior leadership to drive meaningful change.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Purchasing, Inventory, and Supply Chain functions as one integrated operation.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Build strong partnerships across operations, sales, finance, and executive leadership.
- Coach, mentor, and develop leaders while creating a collaborative, accountable team culture.
- Strengthen recruitment, retention, and succession planning within the supply chain team.
- Improve inventory planning, purchasing processes, and pricing alignment to optimize service levels and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead change initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness while maintaining employee engagement.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership using data and operational insights.
- Establish scalable processes and performance measures that support long-term growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain, purchasing, or operations leadership experience.
- Experience leading multiple supply chain functions, including purchasing, inventory, and planning.
- Director-level leadership experience or a proven track record leading large, complex teams.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, inventory management, demand planning, and commodity management principles
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change and improving cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills.
- Leadership style characterized by humility, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and accountability.
Remuneration
- $150,000-$180,000 base salary
