Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of complex capital projects within a large-scale project environment. This role exists to ensure infrastructure and construction initiatives are executed safely, on time, and within budget while balancing stakeholder needs, regulatory requirements, and technical constraints.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams and driving project outcomes from planning through to completion.


Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and construction projects with moderate to high complexity
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Identify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and monitoring
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholder groups
  • Oversee project controls including scope, cost, schedule, and quality
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders
  • Manage regulatory approvals and ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Support procurement activities including contract development and vendor coordination
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, field crews, and external partners
  • Drive stakeholder engagement including work with Indigenous communities where applicable
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • PMP designation is required
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience in infrastructure or construction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • P.Eng designation
  • MBA or advanced business education
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Previous experience working with a large utility provider


Remuneration

  • Competitive contract rate up to $95-$100 per hour, with strong potential for extension. Hybrid work options are available
